Why a Psycho-Spiritual Focus?
Reasons that Susan chooses to emphasize psycho-spiritual growth in her work with people:
  • Susan's personal experience doing this kind of work is that it offers healing at an accelerated pace in comparison to traditional "talk therapy"
  • Use of meditative states/alternate states of consciousness has the potential to bypass one's defenses and get to the "real issue"
  • Use of alternate states of consciousness can access material that is pre-verbal (occurred before one learned to talk). Since one experienced these things before one learned to talk, one is not able to express them verbally in "talk therapy"
  • Psychological  reframing (when one is able to see a situation in a new light) is often experienced with deeper meaning and a sense of validity in alternate states of consciousness that is not equaled if one is trying to think his or her way into accepting a different viewpoint
  • Psycho-spiritual work is aided by opening the heart, where one can access non-judgmental compassion, aiding with patience for the growth process, and an expansion of caring and positive feelings for oneself and others

Those who may benefit from this process:

  • Spiritual seekers
  • Those struggling with depression and/or loss of meaning in life
  • People feeling "stuck" on a particular issue
  • People in recovery from addictions.  For those in 12-Step programs, the Eupsychia Process can deepen one's experience of the 3rd, 6th, 7th and 11th Steps
  • Those looking for stress relief
  • People who have been traumatized
  • Those desiring increased energy
  • People seeking co-dependency recovery
  • Music lovers willing to engage in self-discovery
